GuestPostShop Customers Are Penalized by Google

Today I’ve got some pretty interesting emails from several bloggers that went crazy as Google penalized their blogs for taking money for posting guest posts from companies like Guest Post Shop.

If you’re not aware of our investigations regarding a company that’s doing it check them here:

I checked some of Guest Post Shop customer’s websites and found those have been penalized as well. Obviously this customers found the hard way that trying to cheat Google can be extremely costly on the long run. Some even purchased Adwords ads on their keywords and their website url to not loose the traffic.

DigitalNetAgency (digitalnetagency.com) used GuestPostShop to post guest posts on many high rankings blogs with several anchor texts like: best ny agency, best seo agency, top digital marketing agencies, digital marketing agencies, top digital agencies or ppc management. On all these keywords and even on site name DigitalNetAgency is out of Google Index, being penalized for illegal seo practices.

penaltyDigitalNetAgencyTenMania (TenMania.com) is another company that used GuestPostShop services and have been penalized by Google and thrown out of Google index.

penaltyTenMania Regus Australia (Regus.com.au) deleted all guest posting backlinks created by GuestPostShop for them but that didn’t helped them much as Google have had all the details prior to this and penalized this site as well for illegal seo activities. Now they have to purchase Adwords ads to  show their site in Google index.

penaltyRegusComAuLifeStyleClothes.com.au is another customer that got burned by hiring Guest Post Shop for their SEO needs. Their company have been penalized by Google for illegal practices done by GPS and now they have to purchase Google Adwords for appearing in Google and trying to keep the traffic.

GuestPost Shop (GuestPostShop.com) is not to be found in Google index for a lot of keywords (guest posting, guest post shop, guest post services, guest posting services, guest blogging etc)  including their website address.

penaltyGuestPostShop

All this companies loose hundreds of thousands of dollars by having their sites removed from Google index.  What’s shocking is that Guest Post Shop is still in operation offering guest posting services to their customers. Wondering if there are still any left?

We sent several emails to Guest PostShop / Ken CourtRight / TodaysGrowthConsultant / IncomeStore.com but still no reply. This 5000 Inc. company refuse to explain to customers and media the reason behind bribing bloggers and get customer’s websites penalized, out of Google index.

ink5000Update: Kelly noticed that Ken is selling an ebook on Amazon – “Online Income: Navigating the Internet Minefield” . Wondering if Ken Courtright explains how he sold guest posts, bribing bloggers making millions. Accordingly to Inc.com on 2009 , Ken’s company had a revenue estimated to $ 2,4 millions.

What’s your opinion:  Was Google decision to penalize this sites right or too harsh ? Can SEO companies be accountable for such auctions ? I’d love to read your comments.

  3. And whereas the experts cannot claim credit for their works, a lot of organizations go hats off for the outcomes they get from availing the services.
That is why Search Engine Marketing and, as a part of it, Search engine optimization should be performed.

For this reason search engine optimization is definitely an important
    facet of developing your website.

  5. You doing this investigation is good but did you try to check whether the bloggers were seriously paid for guest posts?

I had genuinely accepted that article because i thought it was good & due to this report my site got penalized just for accepting guest post, What was my or many other bloggers fault in publishing the post since many people publish guest post and you cannot judge book by its cover.

Because of you & Guest Post Shop my blog got penalized..

    • I’m sorry to hear that you got penalized Jon but don’t blame others for your own guilt. Matt Cutts addressed guest posts practices many times before our investigation and stressed that links have to be nofollow-ed.

This is not the first nor the last investigation we are going to make so if you want to stay safe play by Search Engine rules and you should be fine.

  6. Is Ken Courtright you mention here, the same guy that’s selling this book on Amazon -http://www.amazon.com/Online-Income-Navigating-Internet-Minefield/dp/0989045706/ref=sr_1_1?qid=1392041246

” “What is the best way to walk through a minefield?” Courtright queries. The answer: follow someone else’s footprints. In ten chapters, “Online Income: Navigating the Internet Minefield” provides the safe footprints for those looking for strategies to create more traffic and to generate more revenue, while avoiding the treacherous missteps that can cost time and money along the way.”

    • Kelly, Yes it is the same guy, what information this blog is leaving out is that Ken only purchased the company last month. Today’s Growth Consultant never sold a single post or link. This blog is just a witch hunt to try and steal customers for a competitor site.

      • Jim,

Considering the fact you know inside details about this company “Today’s Growth Consultant never sold a single post or link” and you are using a fake email address I assume you’re part of Ken’s company. Unfortunately not a really bright one saying we are stealing your customers. How can we ‘steal’ customers of a company that is not selling anything anymore.

So make up your mind please: TodaysGrowth Consultant is selling guest posts through GuestPostShop and I want to steal your customers or TodaysGrowthConsultat never sold guest posts as you just said.

  7. Normally, large companies demand high service charges and this makes them very expensive.
About 80% of all traffic on the internet goes through a search engine and a very
vast proportion of that traffic goes through Google. The relevance
of keywords to the search phrases, determines how
effectively the page will be found.

  8. If you start investigating each and every seo companies Or any popular brand, then I can bet around 60% of back links are paid ones… And with dofolllow tag. There are plenty of fish in the market, it will take more than 100 years to investigate and bring down other guest post selling site.

    Posted by victim | February 11, 2014, 1:57 pm
    • Victim, You’re partially right on your assumption.Let me explain.I am a SEO journalist so I’ve investigated numerous backlink profiles for numerous companies both small, mid and even corporate companies. Many of them have normal profiles. In fact there are several factors that shows in few clicks if a backlink profile is genuine or not using tools like MajsesticSeo.com.

I wouldn’t count on 100 years figures because as I’ve said unnatural back linking profiles are very easy to spot so I’ll not be surprised if Google have such an automatic tool or will create one soon so will spot sites on the fly.

There are numerous companies and small businesses that do not bribe bloggers or abuse guest posting to get backlinks and improve SERPs. All my investigations are dedicated to them.

  9. I don’t believe anyone I work with has deal with Guest Post Shop but this is very eye-opening. You really need to be careful with regard to how you build links since the most recent Google updates.
